My favourite Pilates move that releases my Hips
I talk a lot about releasing your hips. As a Pilates Teacher I know, and can feel, the benefits of pilates and there’s a few key moves that you can do, in your home, in your bed, naked or clothed that are going to make a huge difference in how tight your hips are and how stiff your back is. Because, the two are connected!
My favourite Pilates move you can do to release your hips is a classic called the Sacrum Roll. It is my all time favourite and I try to include this in some form in all of my pilates classes. It’s the one move I do even if I have no time to practise a full Pilates workout and I feel so much better every time I do.
The thing I love about Sacrum Rolls is that it’s such a simple move yet so powerful. If your pelvis is tight then it really will affect your back, your posture, the way you walk and keeping your pelvis loose is the best way!
