Why self regulation is vital
I’ve never really understood how people can regulate themselves, I mean. I guess what it was is I didn’t know the language around it more than I didn’t know the techniques.
Take a deep breath and let it out slowly through your mouth. Shake your body. Bounce on the balls of your feet. All of these are self regulation techniques and all will allow you to feel more settled, grounded, yourself.
But how can we maintain a balance of self regulation in an otherwise chaotic world. Surely trying to figure it out when it’s all going tits up isn’t the way to go.
And this is where I introduce you to Hip Opening. Our hips, duh, are connected with our spine, legs, feet. What happens though in our hips is storage. And mainly storage of your emotions, stressors, pressure points. Once we release this, our channels, paths, chakras, whatever you want to call them are unblocked which leads to less explosions of emotions and a much smoother transition. See what I’m getting at?
About 3 years ago, when I was going through a major life shit dump episode I started working on my hips and honestly, it changed my life. Yes of course I still get emotional, I am by star sign nature, fiery. But I had a much better grasp of them. I had a much more flat line energy rather than peaks and troughs.
If you want to know more and are interested in learning the exact techniques and moves I use, still to this day then head over here and join me on my 14 Day Hip Opening Pilates Course.
