Singapore - Gardens by the Bay
We've been here 1 whole week, a week since packing up our house, our lives and taking the 14 hour plane journey (with a 4month old!) and moved to Singapore. So far.....we love it. We're sweating a lot, but we love it. The streets are soooo clean, the people are unbelievably friendly and the food is amazing. Did I mention that we are sweating our butts off? Well we are. With Tom having had to go to work pretty much straight away we haven't done much exploring, however this weekend we visited Gardens by the Bay.... a must if you are in town!
We left our hotel apartment (Park Royal on Beach Road) and took a train from Bugis Junction 2 stops to Marina Bay, I think it took about 4 minutes and cost around $.67cents...We've bought ourselves a travel pass that you can just top up and it seems to make the fares cheaper than just buying a single ticket each time. We decided to go around 5pm and honestly it was the perfect time, getting cooler so it wasn't quite so hot to walk around, lots of shade and still able to see everything plus, most tourists (stupidly) seem to go during the heat of the day so it was actually pretty empty considering.
We didn't head into the Flower Domes, to be honest 1hour outside in 30+Degree heat with a 4month old is tough but we will another day!
