Salt Workshop

Jette VirdiComment

I simply can't hold off any longer! It's been 3 hours since my Salt Workshop finished and I'm just buzzing. I know, I know I'm sposed to act all cool and wait but you know. I simply can't!

For two hours I talked these ladies through making their own salt, natural salt body scrubs and flavoured salts. We made, got our hands dirty, spilled natural essences and drank delicious pomegranate cocktails all whilst laughing and chatting and having a fabulous Saturday morning.

Thank you so much to you ladies, for joining me in another workshop. Hope to see you at the next!

August is going to be an uber busy month here at my Creative Studio. Not only do I have a Salt Workshop {tickets here } but I'm also creating 3 weekends of ROOF TOP POP UPS around Dublin City. Working alongside Johan Van Der Merwe we are taking our Long Table Suppers around the city. Every weekend we change location along with the menu. As standard we'll be serving welcome cocktails with nibbles and then serving you a delicious 4 course seasonal and locally produced meal. Hells Yeah! It's so exciting. Below are the links to tickets and their various locations!

We are lucky enough to be the first ever pop up in St Patricks Cathedral Park. It's pretty amazing if you think about it and to get involved and buy tickets here

Next up on the 21st +22nd August we'll be in the iconic Industry and Co Store on Drury St. To see what magic we come up with click here and get your tickets

And finally we're heading over to the Bernard Shaw to sit above the streets to feast! Tickets can be found here

Oh spring time. How we love you, and your rain! What better time that to get planting than at our special Planting Workshop on the 23rd May. We'll be getting in our fave Horti man, David Corscadden and he'll be going through loads of tips and tricks and making sure you get your hand nice and dirty whilst planting seeds.

As usual, there will be some delicious cocktails and fun happening as well as some goodies to take home with you. The workshop will last roughly 3 hours and ticket prices are €35 each...so come on, get into your planting grove so you can have plenty of goodness over the next few months popping up in your garden!

On the 20th March 18 people sat down to our Long Table Supper for Marriage Equality. We lit candles, passed food around, laughed and listened to those who sang for us. We served 6 courses with a dingle gin and pomegranate cocktail with rosemary syrup to start. There was cauliflower cooked with milk and thyme soup dressed with wild ramp oil and crispy capers, wine poached hake over lentils with spring greens and beet dust and roasted rhubarb with anise honey and crust as an end.

We made new friends and continued to grow and strengthen this community around us. Thank you to those who came, supported and helped to give profits to the campaign so love can be equal.

See you at the next one.

Long Table Supper part 2

Jette VirdiComment

If you live in Ireland and haven't yet heard, on the 23rd May there will be an election where you can vote yes or no to Marriage Equality. Here at The Creatives, we believe that it should be a YES, that all people no matter straight, lesbian or gay should be able to marry the one they love and so, we've decided to have our next Long Table Supper in aid of the campaign.

It's going to be a huge splendiferous affair with several businesses and people getting behind us and giving us their full support. Dingle Distillery have been part of The Creatives'  journey from the very beginning, especially believing in our social enterprise aspect and we are delighted to welcome Teelings Whiskey and GCN on board too. GCN have been behind us the minute we mentioned this supper to them and we've loved working with them to get the word out!

SO, what can you expect apart from an amazing night of love, happiness, new connections? Well. We're talking 6 seasonal local courses, welcome cocktails, live music from Sarah Byrne,  Aaron Marchant, Kevin Sammon and more PLUS supporting one of the most worthwhile causes around.

You can buy tickets here so quick sharp and snap them up. Remember, all profits go towards the campaign. x
